In short
Landlord Address is a verified correspondence address and mail handling service for private residential landlords in England. You use our address and your own reference for tenants, notices and registers instead of your home address. We check every customer's identity first, log every letter and tell you the same working day when legal or official post arrives. Your home stays private while tenants, councils and courts can still reach you.
Why does Landlord Address exist?
Letting a home in England means giving your name and an address to a lot of people. Tenants must be given an address in England and Wales where notices can be served on you. Since 1 May 2026 the written statement for new assured tenancies has to include one too. Deposit prescribed information lists the landlord's name and address. HM Land Registry shows each owner's address for service, and the public register a council keeps of licensed properties must include the licence holder's name and address.
England's PRS database, called Register your rental property, now adds to that list. It opens region by region from 15 December 2026 and asks for your residential address plus a correspondence address for each property. If you manage your own lettings the obvious address to give everywhere is home. Landlord Address exists so there is a simple alternative that still works for every notice. See where a landlord's address is published.
What does private, never unreachable mean?
Your home address stays private. Tenants, agents and councils write to you at our address with your reference instead.
But the address has to work. A notice served at your address for service counts as served on you, and a missed letter from a court or a deposit scheme can be expensive. So every letter is logged the day it arrives and legal and official post comes first. We also check who you are before an address is issued so the service can never be used to hide from tenants, courts, councils or enforcement. Misuse ends the service.

What does Landlord Address not do?
- It does not hide you from tenants, courts, councils or enforcement. We cooperate with lawful requests from courts and authorities.
- It cannot take your home address off the PRS database, which collects your residential address.
- It may not be enough on written rent demands, where section 47 can need your own address. See section 47 and rent demands.
- It does not accept parcels. We handle letters and large letters only.
- It is not a registered office for a company.
- It never quietly bins your post. Legal and official originals are never shredded without your instruction.
- It does not give legal advice. Our guides are general information about the rules in England.
- It does not store your card details. Payments are handled by our payment provider.
Who does Landlord Address serve?
Individual landlords and joint owners with rental property in England. That includes portfolio landlords, landlords living overseas, HMO landlords, accidental landlords and landlords who use a letting agent.
Limited companies and landlords with property in Scotland or Northern Ireland can join the waiting list for now. We focus on England, and landlords in Wales can join the waiting list too. Our address check tells you where you stand.
How does Landlord Address check identity?
Before your address is issued we confirm who you are and where you live. Checks may be electronic or a review of your documents by our staff, and joint owners are each checked. We tell you exactly which documents we accept when you apply. Read why we verify every landlord and how we protect your post, scans and ID.
