Cookie policy: what this site sets
Last updated
In short
This website sets one cookie of its own, called lla_consent, to remember your cookie choice. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them, and they help us see which pages are useful to landlords. We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the button on this page or the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. The site can read them on your next visit, for example to remember a choice you made. Some are needed for a site to work properly. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional and we only set them if you agree.
Which cookies does this site set?
These are the only cookies the Landlord Address website sets.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| lla_consent | Landlord Address (first party) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask you again on every page | 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics, on our domain, only if you accept | Gives your browser a random ID so Google Analytics can tell one visitor from another and count visits | 2 years | Analytics |
| _ga_FTGTK9KZF6 | Google Analytics, on our domain, only if you accept | Keeps track of your current visit, such as the pages you view in it | 2 years | Analytics |
The second Google Analytics cookie is named after our Google Analytics ID. We use what Google Analytics tells us to see which guides help landlords and which pages need improving. It does not tell us who you are.
The site works in full if you reject analytics cookies. If JavaScript is switched off in your browser, Google Analytics cannot run and no analytics cookies are set.
Do you use advertising cookies?
No. We do not use advertising or social media cookies and we do not use analytics data to show you adverts.
How do I change my cookie choice?
Use this button, or the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page, to open the cookie banner and choose again.
If you accepted analytics cookies and now reject them, the site stops loading Google Analytics and removes the Google Analytics cookies it can reach from your browser. You can also delete them yourself.
How do I delete cookies in my browser?
Every modern browser lets you see and delete the cookies websites have saved. Look in your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Privacy and security, for an option such as Cookies and site data. From there you can:
- delete the cookies for this site only, or for every site
- block cookies from some or all websites
- use a private or incognito window, which deletes its cookies when you close it
If you delete the lla_consent cookie, the cookie banner appears again on your next visit so you can choose again. The help pages for your browser explain the exact steps.
Will this policy change?
If we add, remove or change a cookie we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever want to set a new kind of optional cookie, we will ask for your consent first.
Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data, including analytics data.
